The Nampa Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory (NBPA) and Nampa’s bicycle shops are working together to help the Lighthouse Rescue Mission with their efforts to refurbish and maintain their bicycles which serve as low cost transportation for the residents there. During the entire month of December the local bicycle shops will be collecting donations for bicycle maintenance supplies and tools.

Here’s how you can help

  • Stop by Cafferty’s Cyclery (220 12th Avenue South) or Rolling H Cycles (115 13th Avenue South) in downtown Nampa.
  • Take a tag off of the tree, purchase the item, and leave it in the donation box right there in the shop.  Most of the items can be purchased for $20 or less.

Christmas Lights Cruise
Friday, December 7, 6:30 p.m.
Meet at Rolling H Cycles

Get in the holiday spirit by covering your ride (and yourself?) with lights, bundle up,  and enjoy a festive one hour cruise through local neighborhoods to view the holiday light displays.  We’ll make a stop at the Lighthouse Rescue Mission along the way to spread some Christmas cheer and deliver donations (you can still donate any time during December, but on Friday we’ll deliver whatever has been received so far).  The ride will conclude at Messenger Pizza for no host refreshments and door prizes.  [Note: In the event that conditions are unsafe at ride time the event will be rescheduled].

Thank you in advance for helping the Lighthouse Rescue Mission.  See you Friday!
