Nampa Bike Project

It all started in November when Nampa First Church of the Nazarene  offered us the use of a facility for storing donated bicycles.    Some of the Bike Walk Nampa members who love building, fixing, and giving away bikes began doing just that.  You can read about it in this news article.  Rolling H Cycles also stepped up to partner with us by selling us lights, helmets and locks at a huge discount.

We are currently focused on providing adults with bikes for transportation, health, and inexpensive recreation. In keeping with our mission every bike comes with a lock, lights, helmet, and safety information. We have a storage facility but do not have a store front where you can drop by.  If you know about a place- let’s talk!

If you want to get involved

  • Come to any Bike Walk Nampa meeting on the last Monday of each month
  • Reply to this email with “bike project” in the subject line.

If you know someone who needs a bike

  • Go to Request a bicycle link on this website, complete the form, and we’ll get in touch.
  • or, Print a copy of the online form and contact us.

If you want to donate we need

  • Cash donations. Stop by Rolling H Cycles, 115 13th Ave S. in Downtown Nampa.  Ask them to add it to the Nampa Bike Project tab.
  • gently used bikes
  • bike parts, especially seats, standard pedals, kick stands
  • front and rear light sets
  • hooks for hanging bikes (screw-in type)
  • bike locks
  • seats of all sizes (used is ok if they are in good condition)
  • adult helmets, new (or like-new) with easy adjust rear dial
  • An unused shop, garage, or other building space that has light, heat, and that could be used for work space, located in or near Historic Downtown.

Since we started 4 months ago we’ve given away 8 bikes.  Meet some of our recipients.
